Gender identity services for adults

Date exercise ended - Monday, October 16, 2017

NHS Englnad is seeking feedback from patients and the public about specialised adult gender identity services.

The consultation focuses on two proposed service specifications: one for how gender identity clinics will deliver specialised outpatient services and another for how surgical units will deliver surgical interventions.

These specifications are based on engagement with the trans community and clinical experts. They describe new proposals for gender dysphoria patients aged 17 years and above who are looking for support and / or treatment.

As well as providing feedback through an online survey, there are a number of other opportunities for people to get involved in the discussions throughout the consultation and beyond.

How can I find out more?

You can find more information, including a guide to the consultation from the NHS England website

How do I take part?

Anyone wishing to take part is asked to complete an online survey before the close of the consultation on 16 October.

Visit the ‘How we use your views’ section for examples of where your feedback has informed our work, plans and strategies.
