Young people's engagement event

Date exercise ended - Friday, November 18, 2016

As part of national young people’s ‘Take Over Challenge’ day, our engagement and patient experience group, called EPEG, joined forces with Sefton Young Advisors to discuss the best ways of involving young people in their local NHS and find out about their experiences of local GP services.

How we involve young people

So we can learn more about young people’s experiences of local healthcare, we work collaboratively with Sefton Young Advisors to ensure that we communicate with young people in the right way and that they can easily share their views with us.

We have a Young Advisor representative on our Engagement and Patient Experience Group (EPEG) and we support and contribute to local events for young people.

Also, because of the success of our first young people’s Takeover Challenge in November 2016, we have committed to making this an annual event.

Who are Sefton Young Advisors?

This is a group of paid young people from Sefton Council for Voluntary Services who support many local organisations in their work with young people.

Find out more about Sefton Young Advisors from the group’s website.
