With one week to go until the virtual ‘Big Chat’ event, health professionals in Southport and Formby are inviting local residents to register by this Friday, in order to attend.

The NHS Southport and Formby Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) Big Chat will be held virtually on Wednesday 15 September from 6pm-8pm and is open to everyone in the Southport and Formby areas. Residents can join staff from the CCG for the event via an online link, which will be sent out to all registered attendees.

As well as looking back at the work of the CCG over the last year, the event will be a chance to get involved and give views during an interactive session about local health and care.

Chair of NHS Southport and Formby CCG, Dr Rob Caudwell, is encouraging residents to join the event, find out more about local health and care over the last 12 months, and the plans for the future.

He said: “We’re looking forward to seeing many of our local residents joining us at this virtual event from the comfort of their own homes. Please do register before 5pm on Friday 10 September to secure your place.

 “If you’ve not considered coming to Big Chat event before, this is a great opportunity to get involved. We’re hoping that the evening timings and virtual event format make it possible for more people to fit the event in around their busy schedules, as well as keeping everyone safe.

“Come and meet some of your local healthcare teams and find out what we’ve been working on in your community.”
