Community services

Date exercise ended - Thursday, March 31, 2016

We carried out a review of our local community services during the early part of 2016 and as part of this, we asked residents for their views and experiences, to inform our re-procurement exercise.

Community services is the collective name for a wide range of healthcare that is often delivered in clinics and other community venues.

We have a vision for all future healthcare and community services plays an important role in that. In the future, we would like as much care as possible to be provided closer to people's homes whenever it is appropriate. We know from speaking to our residents that this is what they would like too.

This is why community services is one of our 'blueprint' areas that we would like to transform so they are better organised, managed and run.

Your views and experiences are important in helping us to shape these services so they are better equipped to deal with the changing needs of our patients into the future.

About our re-procurement

We have put together a list of frequently asked questions about our re-procurement. This is based on the questions that people have asked us when we have been out and about talking with them about community services.

You can also find out more about the process from our main community services procurement page.

How we asked you to get involved

As well as going out and about across Southport and Formby to gain views, people could also submit their comments via an online survey after reading more about our vision for future healthcare in our 5 year strategy and blueprint for transforming services.

We closed the online survey at the end of March 2016 and the information we received is being used to help inform the next stages of the re-procurement.

What people told us

We produced a summary engagement report that brings together all the views and experiences we received about community services.

Why not tell us about your experiences?

To help us ensure that these services continually meet the standards that we and our patients expect of them, we are always keen for people to tell us about their experience of using community services by completing an easy online form

Visit the ‘How we use your views’ section for examples of where your feedback has informed our work, plans and strategies.
