Overview

Sefton’s voluntary faith and community (VCF) sector plays an important role in supporting the health and wellbeing of our local residents. Whether through direct volunteering, or through accessing a community group, the VCF sector is an engine for positive health and wellbeing.

We know from speaking with people at our Big Chat events and other engagement exercises  that they often struggle to find the information they need about local health and wellbeing services. So, in 2017-2018 we supported Sefton CVS to produce the “Connecting you to Services in Sefton” directory, which has enhanced access to a wide range of community services across the borough.

What people told us

Feedback from professionals and from members of the public has been very positive. People like the handy size of the new directory and particularly like that it is available as a hard copy document.

How we responded

Due to its popularity, Sefton CVS was asked to up date and reproduce this booklet in 2018-2019. In future CVS will try and direct professionals to access the information as an online directory. Hard copies will be shared with members of the public who are in positions of influence to share and direct others to make use of these services available in the borough.
