Big Chat 10

For the fourth year running we combined our Big Chat event with our public Annual General Meeting (AGM), which gave us the opportunity to tell you about our performance and achievements for 2017-2018, as well as learning your views and opinions on a variety of topics important to us.

The event was held on 11 September 2018 in Southport and included information on Shaping Sefton, the borough wide health and care transformation programme, including an update on Southport and Ormskirk Hospital’s ‘Care for You’ hospital services programme.

Big Chat 10 also included a session on the steps being taken to strengthen primary care for the future and the new 7 day GP access service launched on 1 October 2018.

We also had a session on the local support that is available to you self care, led by Jan Campbell, the north area lead for Sefton CVS. Jan talked about these services can help people to access community support services and activities, often helping people to improve their health and wellbeing, reducing GP visits and the need for other medical interventions.

Take a look at the agenda and main presentation to find out about the other topics we discussed at 'Big Chat 10 meets annual review' and see below a video capturing the event and what those who attended thought of it.

We have produced a summary report that captures people's feedback from each of the workshop style sessions, which we will use to inform our future work.
