Community services

Date Exercise Ended - Thursday, March 31, 2016

Date Exercise Ended - Monday, February 29, 2016

We began to design a new Sefton wide policy in 2015 that sets out our approach to offering residents a personal health budget, or PHB. During February 2016 we worked with Sefton Carers Centre to gain views and comments from eligible residents about our planned approach to introducing our new policy.

Trinity GP Practice

Ahead of NHS England’s contract for Trinity GP Practice coming to an end we supported the commissioner to review future management options for this service, and to tell patients and carers about the changes.

Big Chat 5

Date Exercise Ended - Tuesday, September 15, 2015

We combined this Big Chat with our annual review event on Tuesday 15 September 2015. It was a chance for people to hear about our performance and achievements during 2014-2015, as well as giving their views about some of our key areas of work in the year ahead - particularly focusing on community services.

Community dermatology services

Date Exercise Ended - Sunday, July 12, 2015

These services are jointly commissioned with NHS South Sefton CCG and operate from a number of different venues across the borough. Community dermatology services diagnose and treat patients for an extensive range of skin conditions. People are generally referred to the service by their doctor for things like severe eczema that can’t be treated by their practice.

Breast care services

Between mid January and mid February 2015 we asked people for their views and experiences of local breast care services.

Litherland Out of Hours Pharmacy

Date Exercise Ended - Saturday, January 31, 2015

Sefton residents were asked for their views on proposals to close the restricted opening Out of Hours Pharmacy at Litherland Town Hall Health Centre between December 2014 and January 2015. This consultation followed a review of this NHS South Sefton and NHS Southport and Formby CCG service earlier in 2014 focusing on its effectiveness.

Big Chat 4

Date Exercise Ended - Wednesday, November 19, 2014

Called 'strategy into action', this event focused on how we used people's views and experiences from previous Big Chats, Mini Chats and other public engagement activities to finalise our 5 year strategy for improving services. Held on 19 November 2014, it was a chance to talk more with people about how we intend to achieve our vision for better, more joined up care, which is provided as close to people's homes as possible. During workshop sessions, we asked attendees what they thought about this 'locality' model of care and how it might work for them.

Mini Chats

Date Exercise Ended - Wednesday, June 18, 2014

These are more focused events that give people the chance to hear about our emerging health and transformational programmes and give their ideas about how they could be further shaped.

Commissioning and IVF policies

Date Exercise Ended - Monday, April 7, 2014

We asked for views about our updated commissioning and IVF policies from 6 January to 7 April 2014. It followed a joint review with CCGs across Cheshire and Merseyside of these policies to ensure they reflected advances in science and take account of the latest medical innovations in drugs, treatments and technology.
